WE ARE DOGWOOD
My childhood home had one dogwood tree in the backyard. And next to it, a swing set built by my father. My parents always told me to protect that little dogwood, because it just so happens to be the official tree of my home state, Virginia. I always thought of that tree as special, sacred even. If leaves would fall from its branches, I assumed we were going to get in trouble. Nonetheless, I spent a lot of time out there swinging next to that tree as it watched over me, listening to my thoughts. As an only child, I spent a lot of time by myself. Thinking, dreaming, watching the world of my backyard unfold, day after day. I chose to name this company after the place which holds my roots. The place where my story began.
I’m inspired by the real stories of the world, and capturing those ever fleeting moments on camera. My video making experience started with weddings and has brought me many places since. I always say, ‘if you can name it, i’ve probably filmed it” Today my passions have evolved into creating short-form documentary content for various outlets. I hope to travel the world and help tell the stories of those who can’t.

My name is Grey and I’m the founder and lead videographer at Dogwood Creative Co. When I don’t have a video camera in my hand I’m most likely training for a marathon or two
